The PeriFORMÉ Surgical Fellowship is a focused, mentorship-driven programme designed for plastic surgeons and senior residents who wish to gain structured exposure to Reconstructive Microsurgery, Lymphedema Surgery and Complex Wound Management.

Mentored personally by Dr. Pranav Thusay — who trained in Bern and Brussels — fellows receive hands-on operative experience, structured academic sessions, and access to one of the highest-volume microsurgery practices in western Maharashtra.

Fellowship Curriculum

Foundations & Orientation

Microsurgery principles & lab training
Anatomy of flaps and perforators
Observer in OT — flap dissection
Wound assessment & dressing protocols
Lymphedema anatomy & ICG lymphography

Month 2

Reconstructive Microsurgery — Core

Free flap harvest (ALT, DIEP, latissimus)
Microsurgical anastomosis — hands-on
Perforator flap dissection
Post-operative flap monitoring
Complications & salvage algorithms

Month 3

Lymphedema Surgery

Supermicrosurgery techniques — LVA
Vascularised lymph node transfer
Patient selection & staging (ISL)
